The Story Behind Engaged UniBE
A participatory process
Sustainable development is very well anchored in the UniBE's education sector. Many of the University centers and institutes conduct research in this area, and corporate sustainability is also well organized. Nevertheless, there is a need for action to make sustainable development holistic, broader, more creative and transformative. In addition, there is a need to implement alternative approaches (to the classic compensation certificates) as part of achieving the goal of climate neutrality. Transdisciplinary projects could make a contribution to socio-ecological transformation and climate protection by complying with defined criteria.
