Your research deserves attention.
"Research to the Point – UniBE" More visibility and impact for sustainable and transdisciplinary research.
We support researchers at the University of Bern in communicating sustainable and transdisciplinary research in a way that is clear, visible, and impactful. Free of charge, practice-oriented, and collaborative.
Research can only create societal impact when its findings reach people. But alongside research, teaching, and other responsibilities, there is often little time to translate results into accessible, audience-appropriate formats.
With «Research to the Point – UniBE», Engaged UniBE supports researchers at the University of Bern in making their work visible and strengthening its societal impact.
Who can participate?
The programme is open to researchers at the University of Bern whose projects:
- relate to sustainability and societal transformation,
- work transdisciplinarily and involve actors outside academia,
- are ongoing or recently completed.
During the pilot year (July 2026 – July 2027), capacity is available for up to 10 projects.
What do we offer?
Depending on the project and its needs, we develop suitable formats together:
- Short videos
- Podcasts
- Science events
- «Paper in a Minute»
- Social media content
- Factsheets and infographics
- Policy briefs and other audience-specific formats
Support is free of charge and provided in close collaboration with researchers.
How does the collaboration work?
«Research to the Point – UniBE» is built on co-creation. Together, we identify the key messages of your project and select the formats best suited to your target audiences. Implementation takes place in collaboration with Engaged UniBE, the University Library, and further partners within the University of Bern.
Why participate?
- Increase the visibility of your research.
- Reach practitioners, policymakers, and the public.
- Make complex research understandable and accessible.
- Strengthen the societal impact of your project.
- Benefit from professional support in concept development and implementation.
Interested?
Places are allocated on a rolling basis during the pilot year (July 2026 – July 2027). We look forward to receiving applications from research projects that contribute to advancing sustainable development and societal transformation.
