Our initiative represents the opening of the University of Bern toward society, politics, and business. Together with partners, we develop new forms of collaboration and implement transdisciplinary projects that create concrete solutions for a sustainable future.
We believe that science unfolds its full impact when it reaches beyond the boundaries of the university. That is why we promote exchange, cooperation, and engagement – locally, nationally, and internationally.
GAIA
Kooperation mit GAIA – Ecological Perspectives for Science and Society
Engaged UniBE has entered into a new cooperation with GAIA – Ecological Perspectives for Science and Society, a renowned peer-reviewed journal for inter- and transdisciplinary sustainability research. GAIA provides an established platform for scientific contributions that combine societal relevance, clarity, and transformative impact.
This cooperation enhances the visibility of research at the interface between science and society and supports exchange on sustainability transformations. GAIA is published four times a year, follows a consistent open-access strategy (CC BY 4.0), and publishes articles in both German and English.
